I agree with vyourp, just flatten the top of the cup with your fingers and push the rim up with your thumbs, it's super easy!!! A rim roller is not required!

It's actually a pretty neat little gadget..maybe kind of overpriced, yes...but a lot of it is for the novelty as well :P I got one and its definitely a conversation piece at timmies.
