Aida Turturro, of the Sopranos, Interview on VVH-TV

Aida Turturro was interviewed by Ingrid Lemme host of the award winning program "American Dream Show on VVH-TV. "American Dream" is videotaped at Gurney's Inn in Montauk before a live studio audience.

Aida Turturro is an American actress who is best known for playing Janice Soprano, sister of New Jersey mob boss, Tony Soprano, on the HBO TV series The Sopranos, a role which netted her an Emmy Award nomination. She has also appeared in a number of films including Sleepers, What About Bob, Jersey Girl,Deep Blue Sea, Mickey Blue Eyes and Bringing Out the Dead. She made her film debut opposite Geena Davis in the film, "Angie." She currently lives on Long Island, New York.

Actors John Turturro and Nicholas Turturro are Aida's cousins.

Are you SERIOUS? Janice Soprano is a narcissistic schemer who cares only about herself. She turns Richie Aprile to turn him against Tony, but when Richie strikes her, she shoots him with no remorse. She is a borderline personality like her mother; that was the point of the show. Aida Turturro explored the darkest and ugliest sides of that character. Really a remarkably brave performance.
