@trumpetman338 um, im sorry but you have your facts WRONG.... i have met Larry Daehn, and i asked him about this peice and he said he wrote it for his wife who went to all his concerts and traveled the world with hem, but had a long battle wityh cancer, and finally passed away peacefully. he basicly poured his heart out in this piece.

It was her Mom.

This would be a good song to listen to while reading the end of My Little Dashie when they start hugging

@ivyhuber2010 that is a very touching and moving story. Were you friends with the girl?
-
This sends chills down my spine on every crescendo. Truly an amazing piece.

@marissajane94 It was about his wife.
I played this my freshman year of high school. While learning this piece, one of our Alto sax's decided to end her life. Before she passed away she told a good friend that she wanted this played at either her wedding or her funeral, whichever came first. When we played this, it was dedicated to her. It is a very moving piece.
