This is the video I shot of Tropical Storm Erin as it made landfall just south of Port Aransas, Texas on the morning of 8/16/2007. When you watch the video, you'll see a structure off the left when I'm videoing towards the west. If you Google Earth 27.47N 97.05W and zoom in, you'll see exactly where I was...and the structure I caught on tape to the west of the beach.

  • I have no idea! I was about to get hit with that wall of weather coming from the south, so I hi-tailed it out of there before checking. If it was a home, too bad they didn't know that Erin had crossed right over them! I was the only one at that spot.

  • I remember seeing that structure on google Earth.. in the middle of nowhere.. what is that place?
