Can you store the samples in it and play the controller by itself without being attached to PC later?

hey chucklevins i need to know something about maschine can ya help? when im in slice mode my samples or slices of the sample are extremely loud! i cant turn them down? and my metronome is ear piercingly loud too? any ideas?
