Both her SP and LP were great in this competition. Maybe one of the cleanest competition ever. Yet Victoria Volchkova, with no artistry, subpar program and jump landing positions got the gold, dropping Sasha to silver. Watch Victoria's performance. The injustice will almost make you hurl. These judges were determined to give it to the hometown girl. Such a shame. Kudos to Sasha for performing in Russia after this.

Malaguena es one of my favorites short programs from Sasha Cohen. I have not seen this video yet while I am posting this message, but I prefer the step sequence from the 2003-2004 season, when she was using the yellow costume. For the, the best performance from Malaguena was at Nationals 2004. It was so smooth and went so good with the music.

wow i thought the maaguena program was a product of training with Wagner... but no it was from training with Tarasova... I earned something new today...
deff Tarasova proving to be one of the greatest coaches of al time...
and of course no matter how good the coach is if the skater is talented, but as tarasova sahsa is talent with a capital T!!! just wish sasha had stayed with tarasove longer instead of moving to wagner, at least before going back to Nicks

That was incredible. I'd always thought that her 2004 worlds performance of this SP was best, but now I think this is the one. I can't believe that 5.2 on the first mark...ridiculous!
I consider this one of the best SPs I've EVER seen. SO well choregraphed and executed. Go Sasha! Vancouver 2010!

Wow!!!! I just love it when she skates to Malaguena. Whenever she does this program it is perfect. I just love her step sequence. But I can't believe they gave her a 5.2 they should've given her a 5.7. But that is my opnion.
