which would you preffer for a house party a 12 inch or 15 inch?

@jearley2424 this is true. But remember if we take care of our products and not overpower them we can most likely have more power and crisp sound from our passive speakers. The amp to passive speakers will give you more power and a better sound overall. The off brand active speakers will overheat and not sound as crisp as the passive. So the choice is always yours. I like to think spend a little more now no headaches later.

@KrackhauSwag pioneers, good cheap speakers if there not cheap enough go with duel they make cheap speakers that are still good quality
Remember dont buy speakers online without hearing them sound is personal so go make the effort and listen to some!

No name, Gemini and JRX speakers? Wow. All pretty cheap and generally considered budget entry level speakers. The JRX are probably JBLs worst product ever - simply designed to sell at a price point. You need to hear some RCF Art series powered cabs or some FBTs, QSC HPRs, JBL PRX, Yorkville NX, Yamaha DSRs - all of which are in a completely different league in terms of sound quality and performance.

Nice Vid.
I have a question. I have a hercules dj controller and a laptop/dj virtual and I was wondering how could you connect speakers using a laptop and a dj controller?
Am I missing something?
DJBRISK1 1 year ago
@DJBRISK1 should be straight forward the speakers have xlr in and phono in so straight from the controller

Great Video ,Very good points . Funny that you said some thing about the power speakers ,What if your Amp inside goes,Well The Amp went in my JBL EON ,I was Lucky it was not at a gig . I am thinking of using my Non Active Speakers as my Main Set now.

@Terraprime76 Hi and thanks for the comments, the think is if one powered speaker goes you still have the other so the gig is still going. with an external often when the amp blows thats it. but like all these things you pay your money and you make your choice
