I'll swap places with that guy on the motorcycle any day of the week, man she's HOT!

Anyway, to think that the choke was on the first hand marker just burns me up, it's one of the easier ones to get accurately. Oh well, I've AAAd this song a few times before, several times with foot and a couple with hand markers. It's one of the easier ones to get since it doesn't have a score requirement, in fact interestingly enough all 3 of the licensed songs with their videos don't have the score requirement. If you play it feet only, it'll cap off at 42,000,000 exact. Aside from about three right/left hand patterns, the biggest change from playing this on foot will be the hand freeze section. You have to take that part differently, but it works out because it'll lead into the stream afterward a lot better than it does if it was just foot notes. Not a hard chart, quite fun actually, but if you're no good at double stepping, I can see this being a problem chart for some.

Oh and did I mention Jenn is HOT?! For some people, that'll add one foot to the difficulty. lol

  • Don't you just love the part where she looks like she's about to fall off the motorcycle? XD

  • Yeah, I thought it's was funny that they kept that part in the video cut.

  • I like the new direction myself, it brings DDR a bit closer to actual dancing IMO. I'm gonna be keeping a close eye on the progress of the new Disney Mix. It maybe a sign of things to come gameplay wise if they add anything else to it or change up the scoring system.

  • Concerning the AAA requirements, that's partially them experimenting with new stuff, and partially them overlooking some crucial things during testing. It should be either one way or the other. I'd say foot only scoring should go by the current setup in the arcade, hand scoring just needs to be done either one or two ways...

    A. Have a cutoff score for each song like GH or

    B. Lower the score requirement per foot difficulty. 6's are OK at 60 mil, but 7's and up I've found to be nightmares.

  • You got that right.

Well, new content is good and if anything, this should be a refining process, don't you think?

I for one am happy with the direction they took with HP Series and how it's come along thus far. I look forward eagerly to HP3. But I hope that small complaints DO get rectified. And I SERIOUSLY hope they drop the ball and include Online Play. That would be awesome. What do you say? Think it's a high possibility? Think we should email them or something to let them now? lol. :P

  • The whole thing just screams of a development team being spread too thin IMO. Older DDR's by that group didn't have these issues cuz they were only doing one a year, not to mention that most of the work was already done since 70% of the songs were old material from the arcade, it was just a cut and paste job. Since HP1 though, they've been hell bent on all new songs and charts and now with DDRX actually having the majority of it's game be new content, it's not surprising to see this happening.

  • I'm sure they'll tighten it up for HP3. :o

  • My thoughts exactly!

  • Heh heh, yeah. Makes me laugh every time. :P

  • I've never seen an option for it. If there is, color me surprised.
