This is the first trial version of Redondo Union's awesome opener of Key Poulan's "Chronometry--Grandfather Clock". So I started off by swearing off doing any "second hands" as I had looked on YouTube for other bands doing this and was sort of irritated by the same ideas over and over (not good to say as a judge--but I was in the comfort of my own home for crying out loud!). Anyway, I thought, what else is there about a clock? GEARS! So the opening is my idea of the INSIDE of grandfather clock. Eh...it works...and then I broke down and put the cliche' set into the drill later at an impact point.....yeah, I'm cheap and have no standards.
Green is woodwinds, blue is brass, purple is alto voices, and the black are the drum line and the red is the guard. Guard staging (self-assessment here) is better than I have done in the past, but still, there are SOME things I can see that I probably could do better.
Very nice!! The flow of the movement was great! And i love this Poulan show music!
