it's like a history book it's divided into 2 major timelines. Before Christ, human was full of destruction, laws were like how they would keep themselves in check with God. After Christ was born, He came to die so that those that believe would not die because of their sins. Muslim does not believe in Jesus, so they think that they need to do certain to be righteous in God's eyes. You can't just take things out of context and claim that those who believe in it are stupid and brainwashed
@weirdplace2be I refuse to further "reply", as you obviously and clearly don't. Completely and utterly dismissing raw and cold hard facts i'm laying on the table and replying with off-topic and idiotic comments. Ignorance is bliss, my friend. I hope one day you'll look at the world, more closely the religion you follow, with an open and critically thinking mind, not one chained down by millenia of brainwashing and hollow threats after death.
@gdsm93 The Hebrews didn't kill to spread religion, they killed either out of disobedience to God, God's command to destroy an overwhelmingly sinful nation or self defense. If you look at the history of Jewish people they are constantly under the gun by some nation even when they haven't done anything wrong. If a nation is prosperous, people will try to kill you and take what you have.
@gdsm93 Look, Jesus said at one time it was said an eye for an eye, but He taught that you turn the other cheek, and He was critisized for healing on the sabbath, with supposedly wrong to do work on the sabbath. Jesus argument is basically the same as yours only, he had power to back up HIs word. That's why people who where at the bottom of society belived Him. If I didn't experience healing and answered prayers in Jesus name there would be no reason to believe. Faith w/o works is dead.
@weirdplace2be ...(Exodus 22:19), "Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death." (Exodus 21:15), " "If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13), "Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel." (Deuteronomy 17:12) - I could go on for days. Wake up.
@weirdplace2be ...the "good" things and completely disregard all the horrible, NON-LOVING things. I'm sorry to say this, but you're acting like a child, wildly raising his hand in the classroom when he's finally found the cookie his mother packed for him. I'm not denying Jesus may have taught love and compassion, but the Bible itself is the word of God - therefore, everything IN the Bible is the will of your loving God. "Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed."
Where Is This At .?
