the orginal secret was thoght by Jesus 2010 y ago /it is done upon you as you belive,you are who you think you are,kingdom of heaven is within you,look for kingdom of heaven /joy/ first and everything will be added,love yourself as you love your neighbour,ask and is given,you are created on image of God,what God has is yours as well ,knock and is opened etc

there is a book that predates either of these, it is called "the Secret of the ages" by Robert Collier, she even quotes him in her secret book... It is far more in depth and is one of the fudamental readings she used...

I read a self-help book written during the Greek Dark Ages by Hesiod. They have always been popular. Think and Grow Rich is pretty interesting too. Chopra's stuff draws from the Vedanta traditions of India. Some of the texts he goes by were written somewhere around 2800 years ago. The Chandogya Upanishad comes to mind.
