@juicius BINGO. It was survival, and to survive you had better have a few goons of your own. But like other Detroit anomalies, the wings always managed to have tough guys who also contributed to the score board. D Mac was won of the greatest at enforcing, then turn around and score a few on Goalies like Roy etc.

King wanted no part of Kocur and stayed down even though all Kocur did was give him a little cross-check. Would have loved to see Kocur and Domi go at it

@alfarabi73 Do you really watch hockey? If you do, you probably started watching last 3 years or so. Back when most of Kocur's Cups were won, you needed enforcers to keep your skill players upright, especially during the playoffs. Hockey is so much more physical and brutal during the playoffs that if you couldn't counter the other team's goons, you were done. Back then, the Cup wnning team always had quality muscle.
