@IcyRhythms How are those numbers bad? It sold as many in first week as PSP, PS3, and Wii combined... That is doing great. And so what if price gets cut in the first 6 months? I don't see how that's bad really, besides Sony will be making less money, Sony isn't super worried about how much money they are making otherwise they wouldn't be selling PS3s under cost (cost more to make than they were selling for) for almost 6 years.

@imranh101 If we're basing the Vita's success on Japan numbers, you're basically telling me that it's not doing very well at all. The price will get cut in the first 6 months.
Japan counts, but the US is still the most relevant as we support the industry more than anyone else.

@IcyRhythms US Numbers aren't out yet, besides the first edition bundles, the Vita just came out 2 days ago... Lol... And Japan sales still matter, considering thats where they come out first (not to mention thats where Sony and Nintendo are both based...) that gives you a good show of how it will sell elsewhere.

They shipped less than 500k units in Japan in the first week if I remember correctly. I want to see the US numbers. We are the most relevant in the industry.

@IcyRhythms "Didn't ship a lot of units"... Why then did Vita sell almost as many units in the first week as the 3DS? They shipped a lot of units.
Just remember how everyone thinks that every little bad sales number is the end of a company... I.E. "Steve Jobs dead, so is Apple!" "Windows Vista sucked, Microsoft is done for!" "Activision fired 2 Infinity Ward Employees! Call of Duty is done for!". Are any of those things true? No.
One bad sales number doesnt denote a company's product failed.

Who gives a shit about sales? What really matters are the games, which so far, other than Wipeout, are rubbish. Uncharted wasn't made by Naughty Dog and almost feels like a fan game overall. Modnation had real potential but feels like a rushed port. Both the front and rear touch are bloody useless. The battery is pathetic. If I were Sony I'd have delayed the launch a couple of months, removed all the gimmicky bullshit to bring the price down and focus on the launch titles *without* rushing them.
