Here is how to make a tornado simulator at home for a small price and little expertise:

You will need:

Water (where the tornado appears, you must have this or nothing will happen)
Soap (funnel cloud effect (soap suds)) Note: if you are using dish detergent, dont add to much as it will color die the water making the tornado harder to see
Glitter (debris cloud effect) Note: Dont add to much into the water as too much will cause the tornado to slow down and dissipate quicker because of all the stuff in there, this also applys to the Legos)
Legos (debris)
A bottle (to hold the stuff in) Note: A plastic bottle is a better the stuff in than a glass bottle since we are going to some shaking later and the glass bottle might shatter

Heres how to do it:

1. Take your bottle and put the Legos, water, soap and glitter in the bottle (if there is a label on the bottle, tear it off or you wont be able to see the tornado)
2. Close the lid/cap tight (if you dont, when we shake it and/or try to make tornado, the stuff will splatter all-over-the-place and make a big mess)
3. Shake the bottle (to make the suds)

You're all set! Shake/twist it around in circles a few times and viola! A tornado!
