@ncripzx Yes, 8 scale degrees apart. E and E for example. E on the open low E string and E on the 2nd fret of the 4th string are an octave apart. On the guitar fretboard, that would be the equivalent of 'up 12 fret tones'. twitterDOTcomSLASHstudyguitar
