  • You might want to give Castle of Cagliostro a shot even if you aren't a Lupin fan, in that movie they downplay his perverted and asinine traits so much that you'd hardly consider him the same character he was from the Lupin the 3rd series. Rather than being pervy and immature he was actually mature and thought things out and genuinely cared for the girl he helped out. It had a really nice story too and great animation.

  • @Nightman221k I will when I do Studio Ghibliathon. It's like Doug Walker's Disneycember but applied to the Studio Ghibli films in the order of their release dates. As to when I don't know just yet.

  • There is a reason why The Secret World of Arrietty is considered a Miyazaki movie. It is probably because Hayao Miyazaki retired from the film making industry and set his son Goro Miyazaki on making films. The director of the film may still be a Miyazaki in this case. Or at least they will have a hand in creating this.

  • @MarlyHatchet88 I will do a follow-up to this which will include not just Tales of Earthsea and Arrietty but all the Studio Ghibli films.

  • this is just like a zelda timeline

  • @zeldamaster52 Well that was kinda the inspiration for it. lol

  • I like Tortoro's cameo in Toy Story 3

  • And one more thing: What about Whisper of the Heart? Miyazaki didn't direct that, but he was a major part of its production. Most people would consider it to be Miyazaki film. Same with The Borrower Arrietty; he didn't direct it, but its practically a Miyazaki film.

Sorry for nitpicking, but this is really interesting! I think we should put both those movies in the timeline.

  • i really liked the video however i always imagined that castle in the sky would have occurred latter in the series, i would have placed it either before nausicaa or last. because in castle in the sky they make very clear at the beginning that they are using really old machines, and the original valley has almost been completely strip mined. although you are correct about the architecture, i always felt that the people fell back to that style after some great war or Apocalypse.
