Trailer for "The Third Way To Reach Remote Tribes" feature documentary

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2072249/

Synopsis:

Communication has become a reality of the 21st Century, even for the most isolated peoples. Remote tribes around the world struggle to adapt to the intrusions of the Western civilization, trying to find a compromise between the past and the future, traditional and modern ways of life. This film portrays tribes scattered on 5 continents: the San of the Kalahari desert, the natives of the Amazonian forest, the Inuit of the Arctic Polar Circle, the Pygmies of the Congo rain forest, the indigenous peoples of the Vanuatu archipelago and the Vietnamese Hmong. During the last 500 years, the contact with remote tribes has followed two ways, both having disastrous consequences for the indigenous peoples. The First Way had them conquered and dominated by force, while The Second Way left them abandoned, alone with the specific new problems generated by the First Way. In 1996, Sebastian Tirtirau started his journey, having something different in mind - a Third Way, meant to find balance and heal the wounds of the past. Part of the footage has been filmed over the last 16 years by Sebastian, during his expeditions. One of the tribes, the Kiai, has never been filmed before. This pilot will be followed by 12 episodes, detailing each of the locations.

  • Every once in awhile, a movie will come out of nowhere so honest, so sincere and builds to a climax of profound human connectedness.

It is truly difficult to choose between this documentary and other TV series broadcasted by BBC, Discovery Channel, National Geographic or Oasis Channel.

Could be the most important and persuasive documentary series about people and places ever made.

  • @dobmartin We hope it is going to be apreciated by people, as we try to show a different model of comunication with tribes.

  • hey, milkman!!

If you are a moron, you should blog on morons' sites, they are quite a few available.

First, you talk non sense because you don't know the history of the stolen generation. That is exactly what, I think, this trailer is trying to avoid and also inspire people to recognize the dignity of the remote tribes. Where did you come up with "destroying these people" from a 2 minute trailer?

So, next time you talk, use that one neuron that you have left and shut up.

  • Apparently nobody with a negative comment actually bothered to watch the trailed up to its end and see what the main idea is. That's sad, but still, that's how shallow people, aka trolls, disqualify themselves in what could have been a civilized conversation about a civilized (non-intrusive, anti-abandonment) idea. I give this trailer a thumbs up in the idea that the movie will show how the tribes can choose their own way of living. Or at least that's my understanding of the subject.

  • We should just leave these people alone to their own ways, perhaps they know something about the world we have all forgotten. Atleast they can live with nature and truly respect this world, we build great big walls between ourselves and nature in order to escape it. Why do we all feel the "Western Way" is the right way, or that we're some pinnacle of greatness in human existence. We're arrogant, never for sure can we know our way is the right way. After all, we're destroying this world.

  • @1901milkman What is your problem, man? Do you think your paranoid rage will help instead? And where exactly in these endeavors do you see a hidden purpose to destroy these people? Let's have a look at those who don't do anything for anyone, but for their own asses. How do you call that, nobleness? Integrity? How do you see yourself?

  • Search "stolen generation Australia". You are setting these people up.
