Demonstration video of the Aluminum 8-Sided Free Float Forend with iron sights on the 45 degree picatinny rail, shooting targets at long and short distances.
Excellent idea! Got to get this. Agree with Mike from GreenfieldIndustries comment, but this was just a demonstration video of switching up from optic to open sights rather than a definitive set-up. As a hunter rather than tactical shooter I would not be using a red dot like this.
ATI makes great products. Just not sure about this one. They installed what appears to be an NCStar red dot and folding iron sights which can easily be co-witenssed or indexed seperately when alighned on the same plane.. AT least when shooting the demo you should index the same target point with the optic and sights. Again ATI makes a great product we just do not see a tactical justification for the offset sighting options. Mike tacticalshotgunaccessories

Does the barrel nut need to be removed to install the one-piece version?
