"The Lost Lakes of Bangalore" is a project to document Bengaluru's many tanks and lakes which have vanished with unplanned urbanization and growth.
In this creative video, C M Ahamad Sha and G N Ganesh Kathare document the state of Doddabommasandra lake through the use of visuals and sound effects and without any voice at all. The pathetic state of the lake and how it is
currently being used are graphically captured, and the encroachment and human development activities that contribute to the lake's demise are alluded to.
For its imaginative approach and high artistic quality C M Ahamad Sha and G N Ganesh Kathare are co-awarded the winning prize in the student category and shares the cash award of Rs 15,000 with the other winning entry.
