@mechiefslapahobitch you don't need to be liberal in order to give lenient sentences. some believe rehabilitation over retribution is the best way to go.

@irisstars it would be different for her to get 11 years if that was the average sentence for murder but generally sentences are at least 3-5 times longer which makes it unfair to other people who kill, especially since her murder was especially horrific.
