Good video! This is pretty basic stuff if you have actually been taught grip fighting before. My former instructor learned gripping strategies from former soviet sambo champions. Most people in the United States won't see this stuff at your typical recreational Judo club. You are very fortunate to have such an excellent Judoka and Olympian come to your club. He fought at 66kg which surprises me because he looks huge in the video. I don't mean tall but muscular

Hey folks. If you have enjoyed this video the next ones will simply blow you away. Georgi is going to show techniques and skills that will take your judo to the next level so please keep looking out for them. I'll be uploading the next batch soon.

Thanks, although they share the same name this is a different Georgi Georgiev. This Georgi was Bulgarian National junior Judo champion on several occasions but unfortunately his success didn't continue as a senior and he placed second. He was on the national team for years. He now runs his own school in Congleton, Cheshire UK. He has done sambo and wrestling etc also. He is only 31 and is an amazing judo coach. He is truly recognised as a gripping master.

This is just a very brief look at grip breaking and then throwing straight away, please feel free to rate this video or comment.
