OK, my apologies, I did not mean to show disrespect. I know "Gnosticism" is a very broad term. I get frustrated when others assume I believe something that isn't even close to my beliefs. Mainstream Christians shove other Gnostic beliefs down my throat because they assume all Gnostics are alike. I respect you for your beliefs, although it differs from mine. I just wish others knew there was a difference.

The word Catholic denotes the universality of doctrine and not a Christian or Roman Catholic belief set.

@astrofrk First of all, it's not "Do as thou wilt". It's "Do WHAT thou wilt". And second of all, it's not from the Satanic Bible, or rather, it didn't originate from there. It's from the Book of the Law, the text at the center of the Religious-Philosophy: "Thelema"... This is a video portraying a Thelemic organization preforming a Thelemic Rite.

Anton LaVey and the rest of the "Satanic" ass-hat's have nothing to do with this.

@chaksheba I agree. Gnostic Christians believe in listening to Jesus/Yeshua/Logos within but that is not the same as "Do as thou wilt". That is a quote from the Satanic Bible. This has nothing to do with Gnostic Christianity.

@chaksheba In the christian sense of "church" sure. The Gnostic mass as devised by crowley does not place the priest, priestess or any other person with a role in the the ritual- as an intermediary between the congregant and the "divine".

@izkda8 erm... gnosis just means knowledge in greek, and those that wrote the nag hammadi library didn't even call themselves gnostics, only their critics did.
