here is a clip from the AP Wire obituary;
Mr. Hedges, 43, died in a one-car crash in rural Mendocino County, about 100 miles northwest of San Francisco. A work crew discovered his body in a wrecked 1986 BMW. Police said it appeared the car skidded off a curve and down a steep embankment a few days earlier.

Great to see this performance, but difficult to get through it without shedding a tear. The last performance of Michael's that I attended was in San Francisco, late Sept. 1997. "No Expectations" was his final encore. It's hard to hear the lyrics "I got no expectations to pass through here again."
