Actually flowbees work great! I just gave myself a haircut and it does a great job for a layer cut. Unfortunately there are a lot of trailer trash jokes surrounding these but this can give you a stylist haircut if done correctly and save you a lot of money especially is you are like me and get your haircut once a month or less.

The trick is, get a good haircut first and then use the spacers to figure out just what you need to duplicate the cut with a Flowbee and write it down. I've had mine for 20 years and it's great...only thing that has had to be replaced is the spacers.
Yes, you do need trimmers to do the bottom of the back of your hair, around ears, etc.
Not everyone cuts their hair the same length as this guy.....

that's why my dad is cutting my hair, he does the trimming where i can't reach & see.
