But it´s not the same like with Paul Desmond. He had composed the tune and was the heart of all former performances ....
It´s a pitty that he passed away such early.
The whole Dave Bruback (Quartet) has not the same quality like in the 60s and 70s with Paul.

Saw these guys last night, Dave is a genius but his band is WAY below his level. Drmmer Randy Jones is an overplaying FOOL.. God I missed Desmond and Morello!

Brubeck encouraged improv. 90% of his songs with the quartet are all improv.

I was there. Too bad he didn't play the whole concert. So many people left the bowl after he finished playing.

I saw Brubeck in Chicago this week and it was a magic concert. His son, Daniel, was on drums with Milotello wonderful, and Michael Moore on bass. Brubeck's 88!

Dude...I agree. Morello was a beautiful drummer. But I have tix to see Brubeck this October...can't wait!
