I was the professor of the girl who was attacked. It was one week after I began my first professor job, August 2005, at BGSU. I've been here 5 years now. It's strange to me that another professor is having his students make reenactments of this incident as class projects, with a horror-movie tone to them. This was a very traumatic incident for the class as well as the victim, and her attacker who was mentally disturbed to say the least! Did this prof have students discuss any of these issues?

@flyermontana This was a film production class so we just were focusing on the production aspect...lighting, camera angles and lens and contrast ratios and things of that nature. This is a very inaccurate reinactment of this incident because we really didn't know if she hit her with an iron or a curling iron..also the student did not fall down the steps. This was all dramatic additions to make it more cinematic.

@krissykristyle So, did your professor instruct you to upload this to YouTube, where it could be misinterpreted by anyone who sees it, or did you upload it on your own? Don't you think it's irresponsible of any film professor to teach you "JUST production" without any discussion of the ethical aspects of making "dramatic additions" to a real person's story (especially when you reference BGSU and the original incident in the title of the video)? Also, please spell "reenactment" correctly.

@flyermontana No, he didn't instruct me to upload this video, I did it myself because it's my creation and my original interpretation of the event. And no I dont think it's irresponsible for my favorite professor to teach me what he has his masters degree in and has been teaching for 17yrs. Would I expect a business management professor to teach me spanish? Not his job. Thanks for correcting my spelling but just like "re-inactment", this movie it's my own interpretation and I like it. Thanks.

Ha Ive only seen one other video of this incident...This is not exactly how it went tho...Im the girl that got attacked...we never got into a fight or anything, it just happened out of the blue. Good film work tho

@CookieVal Yeah I have no idea how it really went down. We just had to have enough script to shoot so I made up stuff. How have you been? Did you transfer to a different school?
