Jeffery Daniels was the guy behind the bar. He and Jody
were soul train dancers in los angeles before shalamar.

The original lead singer of Shalamar was some guy who left to be a preacher according to Jody, Jeffrey and their former boss at Solar Records Dick Griffey...he sang on Uptown Festival one of Shalamar's first hits. The second guy Gerald was replaced by Howard Hewett...it's on their TV Unsung: Shalamar show that came out months ago. Jermaine Stewart was one of their background singers & a very good friend to Jody back in the day.

If you check wikipedia under Jermaine Stewart you will see association with Shalamar. Again I said it did not work out with Jermaine and he was replaced with Howard. Nerver recorded but was original lead.

Jermaine Stewart never recorded with Shalamar, but he was the original lead for the group in the 70's.
