Kettle caps working as a receiver on stove. All voice you hear on video is received by those two caps :). We had 200W to 80m band from FT-990 and Ameritron AL-80A amplifier and antenna OCF-dipole on roof. This also works with barefoot 100W!

  • Come on, guys.... I ain't buyin it.

  • I seen something like that on TV before. Also with a lid on a stove top, close to a short wave radio station.

They said the black iron oxide of the stove reacts like a semiconductor and rectifies the high power HF. Then the LF current creates the vibrations through magnetic force. In WW2 they used Iron oxide (Blued Razorblades) for Foxhole radios.

  • LID receiver? Randy
