@roflcat2424 Historically the US fighter funding is typically split between a high-cost, high-performance air-superiority fighter (something to scare the crap out of any potential hostile air forces) and a much cheaper, "economic" fighter to be mass-produced for more mundane purposes, recently ground strikes. The F-22 is the "old" superiority version, and I thought f-35 was the "new" general purpose. Does anyone know what the new air superiority model is? Is it just an f-35 variant?

@Fedaykin4321 ya they stopped making them a while ago I know...I prefer the F22 to the F35, I mean it's cool that they have a harrier, bomb, and fighter editions for the F35, but the F22 is a lot more powerful, they chose the F35 because it's cheaper. The F22 would bring our troops home faster because it's more powerful than the F35
