Sounds like he failed miserably. "Absolutely nothing went wrong". The ultimate success in a Banger Rally would be if EVERYTHING went wrong, but the contestant continues in spite of the problems.

the only thing I don't understand, so please explain, is why you have to pay entrance fees and charity fees, if you just can go on your own? The administration of the rally does not provide any support for the people on the road, well except "help" with visas perhaps and some concerts in Europe. Am i wrong?

The only thing a chrade will have problems with is the seats. The seats will rip and shred if not looked after. That is if u do have the fake leather seats. If u have the other type. Don't worry just the usual vacuem and car wash and it will last u

We did the Mongol Rally 2008, If anyone's up for doing this sort of thing then join the website "loba(dot)webs(dot)com" only just setting up really but if you get a sense of adventure its the site for you!

To me, fellows like you are greater than Miachel Schumacher - F1 drivers like him push the limits of skill and technology, while you have merrily danced right over them into the land of the absolutely barking mad.
