To make ur tremolo stay in tune make the tremolo flush with body oil neck or pencil graphite and u add the extra spring in it.

Hey dude figured i'd send you a message asking what guitar, pickups, and amp you got take your time on the responce... peace

Well....I've got a bunch of Strats, Les Pauls, SG's and a whole lot of others. The amps are all Marshall and my pickups are mostly Gibsons and Riffbuckers.

Hey riffguy, do you keep your strat bridges floating or flat?
hendrixkixas 2 years ago
I find they stay in tune better when they float. I set mine so my low E string goes up a half step when I pull up.

Riffguy, how is it that you can use the trem on a strat and still remain in tune? whenever i use my strat's trem it goes way out

The main thing is you need to eliminate as much friction from the nut as possible. Try using 1000 grit sandpaper to polish the slots, then add some graphite from a pencil.
The bridge should also be set up so it floats...I set it up so when I pull up on the arm, my low E goes sharp by a half step.
Once it's set up this way, if it goes out of tune a bit, just lightly move the arm up & down and it should return to tune.
