How many of Ambedkar's followers who converted to Buddhism with him r still adhering to Buddhism & have not gone back into the salty sea of Brahminism ( Hinduism ) ? The answer is ZERO . This example alone underlines the incapabilty of Buddhism to evolve as a independent mass religion in this huge sea of Brahminism called India . These weaknesses of Buddhism & intermingling with Brahminical scriptures was the main reason why Adi Shankracharya was able to pack it from India in 50 or so years .
