What about Occupational Therapy??Thisis sometimes OT's working in the field do often and specialize in hand Therapy.I think they should be given credit for their expertise.Thank you.

You must not have felt the effects of phantom pain. I pray that God blesses those that perform these surgeries and guides their hands, I pray for those who receive these surgeries for a quick and effortless recovery. I pray that I will be accepted as a patient so I can hold both my husband and sons hand for the very first time.

I am an amputee and I am trying to get into a hand transplant program so I can feel whole and complete. for those of you who say other people deserve it more I say who are you to judge? If doctors can give this gift it should be to the best viable candidate regardless of whether or not they are a man woman child black white purple orange green or even if they have or haven't served in the military. For those of you who say you would rather have the mechanical hand well all I can say to that is

@rme1188 The program is open to anyone interested in a single or double hand transplant including wounded warriors of our military who serve and protect us. The Louisville program is also funded by the Department of Defense to further research in composite tissue transplants like the hand and face.
