oh yea and putting a bunch of wax in your hair to make the dreads 'stick' is totally hygenic. You dont have to 'comb' your hair to have good hygeine, u still get to wash ur hair retard.

I have dreads, and i got them by washing my hair first, drying it completely, brushing it all straight, then seperating my hair into sections starting at the bottom of my head, then backcoming them and then putting elastic at the ends (for first few weeks) and thats it. just give them time then, and dont wash them in residue filled shampoos.... i use dreadhead shampoo... within time they will lock nice... be prepared for fuzz at first but its worth it.

no u cannot make dreadlocks with gel and hairspray....dont use any products..just stop combing and using conditioner for a few months
