Rudy Fernandez joins Real Madrid from Dallas Mavericks

Basketball forward Rudy Fernandez being presented to the Real Madrid fans after joining from Dallas Mavericks whilst the NBA lockout continues.

Fernandez saying: "For me, to go to a club like this one is a step forward. I think that it is a team that aspires to everything and that is what players want, to compete in every competition, especially in the Euro League that is very important for me because is where all the best teams and players of Europe play."

"Right now what links me to Madrid is this contract and now nobody can change that. It is true that out of respect for Dallas fans I have to keep thinking that if the lockoutI will have to return there."
