Here is my Blade CP+ with the E-flite Huey Gunship Fuselage Kit. It is a really sharp looking kit and looks great with the optional light kit installed. It's not quite dialed in yet, but hopefully it will be soon and I can post a flight video.

  • Very nice! Im seriously thinking of getting that for my Blade CP for Christmas.Do you know if the body style effects the flight performance?

  • Yeah I never could quite get it to fly right. The stock motor is underpowered and I had vibrations in flight I could not fix. The technology in the CP is just really outdated now. Oh well, still looks cool though.

So you are saying your CP flew worse after the Huey mod than it did before? I read somewhere that the body is also much more brittle.A little bump makes it break like glass.Oh well,, I'm curious,, I gotta try it.

  • Well it can't hurt to try, right. I'm waiting for the Blade SR Huey to come out. It should be out soon. The SR's airframe is a lot better than the CP's and less prone to vibration. I have a Blade SR that I recently rebuilt after doing a backflip and crashing into a tree. If they come out with just the Huey kit itself maybe I'll modify the SR I have. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait and see. Happy Flyin' :)

  • thats awesome!

you can get it on line.

  • Where can u get this helicopter from.

  • they needed to make bodies for the MSR, its the best chopper they make.

  • @beyondthebluerc1 i just got this helicoptor and whilst i didnt try to fly it yet (i work late and it makes enough noise just spooling on the floor so i wouldnt try to take off) is the engine underpowered? if so can you upgrade the motor and battery to a higher voltage?

  • @beyondthebluerc1

I have always wondered about the Blade SR.I have read that its the perfect transition heli from Coaxial to Collective Pitch because of the stronger airframe and newer technology.I made the mistake of getting a Blade CP to learn how to fly on.I never did get beyond hovering with it.So now Im learning on a E-Sky Honeybee FP2 and Blade MSR and a couple of cool sims. But Im thinking my next heli will be the Blade SR,,,cant wait! Happy Flying :)
