Cam, Mayu, Jamie & Jess trek to Yokohama to watch, and listen to His Holiness The Dalai Lama.
This man is one of the greatest religious leaders in the world, he is THE greatest in the religion of buddhism, the equivalent of the Catholic Pope....
And there he sits laughing, chuckling, fidgeting, sneezing, blowing his nose, and having a grand old time with all 10,000 of us.
It was a wonderful experience and I am soooo glad I went; however the interpreters need to be reconsidered and complete simultaneous interpretation should be carried out rather than only for non-Japanese languages. Why? Because the wait between when HHDL would finish talking (10' at a time), and the Japanese translator would finish (ensuing 15' or more) was excruciating, especially since the Japanese was NOT spoken Japanese and extremely difficult to comprehend, even for learned Japanese people!
All in all, a fantastic experience!
I would do it again in a jiffy.
