GWR 6000 King Class No.6024 King Edward I

GWR 6000 King Class No.6024 King Edward I going almost nowhere with a lot of effort. They were shunting it around so it could go up to the turntable which I only realised when it came back facing the other way. This class was built mainly to regain the GWR the title of Britains Most Powerful engine with the title having been taken from the Castle Class by the SR's Lord Nelson Class to this end the tractive effort target was set at 40,000lb against the Lord Nelsons 33,500lb beating it by a wide margin. Two other King Class engine survive No.6023 Edward II which has nearly finished its restoration at Didcot it is at 1.59 & what I think is its boiler at 2.13 in the photos video, this uncertainness it due to there being several boilers and boilerless locos in the workshop and No.6000 George V which is currently visiting the NRM from the GWR museum in swindon who got BR 9F No.92220 Evening Star in its place.
