Petaro Golden Jubilee - 01 - Intro

Cadet College Petaro completed its 50 years of existence in 2007. The college was established in 1957. Nearly 7,300 students (cadets) studied at this college over these 50 years.
The Golden Jubilee celebrations were held on 22-28 February 2007. Starting with a wreath laying on 22 Feb 2007 at the tomb of Mr. A.M. Nizamani whose vision and efforts led to the establishment of the college, a wreath was laid by the Chief Minister of Sindh (a Petarian) on 23 Feb 2007 at the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam. This was followed by an evening musical function at Petaro the same night.
On 24th Feb, there was a convention and gathering of Petarians at Petaro where speakers addressed the audiences. The new mosque at Petaro was also inaugurated.
On 28th Feb, the President of Pakistan visited Petaro and was the Chief Guest at an impressive ceremony and display by the cadets.
