This is a re-edited video in high definition of my previous video I had. American Airlines flight 928 from Guatemala City to Miami, onboard an Airbus A300-600. Includes preboarding, boarding, taxi, and takeoff.

From the terminal, you can see the VOR transmitter (114.5 MHZ). Note how close the airplane comes to the adjacent hangars during taxi. You can also see the "Water Volcano" in the background. After takeoff, you can see "El Obelisco", the main roundabout where main roads in Guatemala meet.

I ommited push-back and initial taxi run because there was a lot of condensation on my window. Apperantely this A300 flies in the night before, and stays overnight for the morning flight-out. You can see the condensation breaking away on my window. Sorry about that. I also do NOT have my arrival into guatemala because I arrived early in the morning when its dark. I was sitting across from the flight attendants and they noticed my camera and warned me to keep it off when told. Next time, I'll pick a day-flight! Enjoy!

  • i took this flight in may 2008, and i think that a300 are too old!

love the sound, will miss this plane :(

  • @hfmaelmejor

It is old! This is Airbus's biggest airliner before the A330's, A340's, or the A380! Its a medium range, wide-body airliner which competed directly with Boeing's 767. The A300 is American's workhorse in Latin America! It will be missed!

  • @dima78350

AAL had old planes, now they have B 737.

    Nice video!

  • AAL has very old planes: A300, 757, MD80...

  • how long was the flight

  • @musico81986 I certainly hope it was the biggest, considering it was their only.

  • An A300 is actually a old airplane

  • Very nice!! i miss the a300's

  • Today AA operates the B737-800 into Guatemala from Miami..is that an improvement???

  • @musico81986 Did AA operate the A300-600 out of Miami??..where is the latin american hub of AA,asking because Ive flown AA A300 ince transcontinental from JFK to LAX and alos once JFK-Bermuda. Love the airbus widebodies..better then to be cramped in a B737 or MD80.

  • Congrats! Thank you so much for uploading this video, it's now part of La Aurora International Airport History because this A300 is retired now. I miss so badly this A300-600
