@lmull3 easy fix on the power board inside the DC thers a fuse on the board just replace it and it will work.

@lmull3 Space or the hook-ups. I've maxxed out the hookups on my HDTV with my VCR/DVD combo, PS3, 360, Wii, and netbook.

disassembly guides with pics are on ifixit.
the PSU puts out 3.3V, 5V and 12V, so for testing the "rest" of the unit, it might be possible to rig up an ATX PSU to see if the console itself is still working, or if something down the road took a hit too..
might be something really simple like the AC side fuse (either a black cylinder or a simple glass fuse)
dreamcasts also have probs with the connection from the PSU to the mainboard. the only lasting fix is to connect it with wires instead.

It was a damn good system in its day
Who needs game consoles? All you need is a new entry-level computer, or something from 2004-2009 that was mid-range, and you can play all the video games you want from consoles!

@talldude123 hardware is always better than emulation, period. but, you can also emulate on the dreamcast which is mostly why i want it to work.

@lmull3 True, but basically, with an old scrap PC and an 80gb hard disk you can have a kick-ass old school game machine!

@talldude123 oh yeah, it's doable

@lmull3 Yep, I'd rather have multiple computers rather than a bunch of game consoles that can only do one thing.

@talldude123 especially if you don't have the space to put all the consoles. nutcases like myself do :D lol
