  • Just curious. Why do u have 2 stoves? The other one is modern stove, right? Love the woodstove. Where did u buy it from and If I get it from craiglist how can I find an expert to install it for us? Thanks for the video

  • My other stove is propane and for using during the summer when it's too hot to fire up the wood stove. I also do pressure canning and don't think I could keep the temp on the wood stove at the correct level for long enough, so a regular stove comes in handy.

You should always consult a professional in regards to any type of wood stove installation. Google can help you find one. Remember to consider building permits and code requirements for your area.

  • Great job. -Here are some hints...

Your batter looks a little thick - but that's ok. Thinnner will allow you to judge how much is enough for a full waffle. Make sure the iron is hot enough to "spit" - it should sizzle when you drop water on it. You can turn the iron over when preheating, but it's helpful to turn it over right after you pour on the batter and close the iron. That helps it bake evenly. Good Luck!!

  • These are great tips! I am still learning but getting better using this wood stove...the men in my life seem to clean up all the results of my experiments without complaint!
