Question: Can you lay ceramic tile on top of ceramic tile? What is the proper adhesive to use? The project is a small bathroom. The area to cover is approximately 5 feet x 6 feet.

@ElCid48 Yeah - as long as the tile is not loose or cracking but It's only recomended if the original tile has been put down right - !

@JohnnyTsak316 Hi! Thank you for answering. Yes. The tile is in very good condition and pretty solid. Its "mosaic style", small square and rectangular pieces in a pattern.
We moved into that house 20 years ago and it was installed for the owners by a professional. We know that because they were not at all DIYs.
What about adhesive? What would you recommend?

@ElCid48 Use a standard thinset with acrlic admix allready mixed in - most thinsets have the additive nowadays !
