Mark Shakespeare. The very name is one that is respected by enthusiasts and organists alike. His stage presentation, showmanship and organ technique has never been surpassed. In the early days he helped to put Wersi & Bohm organs on the world-wide map with his sell-out concerts, and recordings. It was my privilage and pleasure to give him his forst BBC broadcasts back in the 70s, and we remained close friends until his passing after a sudden illness. This is but a small tribute to a big keyboard artist.
dear Sr, thank you for posting this tribute. After seing this a realise that i met mark once at the Frankfurter messe Bohm stand. He was a verry gifted artist, and a friendley young man. to bad that he died so young. Johan Beverloo

Thank you so much for posting! This truly was what I wanted to see. Mark was an incredible artist, so sad he left the world so suddenly...
