And don't forget that if you attempt to do just about any ducking attack while Gief is in his spin you get hit.

As a gouken player I must agree with rulez. A good Gief is a nightmare for ant gouken player. Gief players know gouken has no good wakeups and they punish him for that. Not to mention the random empty jumps into ultras that are simply too devistating. This zangief player was not good at all but a good one would have been difficult to beat.

i also belive that bison vs gouken is 5-5. bisons corner pressure doesnt work that good against gouken, u just need a reversal his scissor kick and gouken also does bigger damage than him

A good bison makes not only pressure with a scissor kick or some normals, he also will do some mixups which will get you in trouble when you do counters.
You believe to much by thinking it theoritcal, but you have to expierence it against a good opponent!
The important thing about Goukens counter is that you always have to guess it, cause you will never know if the opponent is really going to hit you.
Which also makes it hard to beat the corner pressure of Bison.

zangief def aint goukens worst matchup. its probably 5-5 or in goukens favor

In my opinion it is a bad matchup for him. This Zangief wasnt so good, thats why i won it.
But against a good Zangief its really hard to get something done.
Also many people say, that Bison vs. Gouken is 5-5, but it isnt. Bison have many more options on Gouken and he can do his pressure mixup without any big risk.
You should experience those matchups and not only read the theoretical stuff.
