Jeep JK driving to Cape York via the Old Telegraph Track, river crossings - Nolans, Jardine, Dalhunty.

Slid down into Palm creek - had fun going through Gunshot.

recovered several vehicles including a Nissan, Mitsubishi x3 and Toyota

Snatched & dragged, had a great time.

Top end of Australia is simply beautiful - heaps of good wheelin!
enjoy cheers Hunty

  • Locked - ARB air lockers front & back - locked centre transfer case! sweeeeeet

  • So... lockers on the jeep? I'm guessing no, due to the difficulty going up palm creek. We did it first go despite several groups telling us it was not drivable. Anyways, did you end up getting across the Jardine? It looked deeper than when we were there but being alone, we opted for the ferry anyway.

    Hi Maaaaaaaaaaate

Yep I have ARB lockers front and back...... it was very slippery and steep and due to recent rain (the day before) the muddy bog at the bottom was quite full D'oh..... anyway when we reached the servo, & the guy at the servo said we were the only ones that day to make it out without winching...... what a great track! - we did it both directions. and had a blast cheers Hunty

    Hi Mate

I also ended up on the ferry. apparently they dredge it now in the dry season in the centre (where I started to float away,D'oh) re Lockers, yep arb front and rear 33' km2s - I gave 2 good attempts - maybe latter when the water is lower! cheers Hunty

  • Hey Hunty,

    Hi Maaaaaaaate

I neede to redistribute the weight in my Jeep so I emptied 1 of the Jerry cans through away my draws and relocated the spare spare tyre to the front - made a big difference and after I didnt hit the rear bump stops again - cheers Hunty
