On 21 February 2010, one of my friends and I made the trek out to a remote location in the Nevada desert for some fun with firearms.
The members of Nevada Shooters (www.nevadashooters.com) decided to have a group shoot and everyone was invited to bring out their collections for some good times together. I brought my usual assortment of rifles and pistols. My friend Uly brought his two pistols and his Mosin Nagant 91/30. And we had an absolute blast!
Owning full auto firearms (AKA machineguns) is legal in Nevada as long as you do it by the rules set forth by the federal government. It's expensive to buy the guns and it's expensive to feed them as well, but there are plenty of people out here who do it.
Infinite Arms (www.infinitearms.com) and is a licensed manufacturer who can legally make machineguns. It's because of the owner's generosity that I finally got to shoot a gun I'd wanted to for a long time. It's that Yugoslavian version of the AK-47 you see in the last part of the video and it was everything I'd hoped it would be! It wasn't the only gun he brought by a long shot and I did shoot another of his machineguns, but I forgot to get video of the other one in my excitement.
The full auto Ruger 10/22 is owned by a private citizen who followed all the laws and can legally possess it, shoot it, and allow others to shoot it as long as he's present. I didn't get permission to use his name, so I'm going to leave it out of here. He may be anonymous, but his generosity is also very appreciated.
Everyone had a great time and nobody was hurt because safety rules were strictly observed.
Thanks again to everyone who made this day possible - the gun owners, shooters, friends, and also the people who cooked us the lunch which was donated by various members. This was a truly great day and I can't wait to do it all over again!
