I have a saying I use when surfing with my friends in sharky waters....
I don't have to out paddle the sharks I just have to out paddle you guys.
Seals "paddle" pretty good.
To a great white a comparatively slow moving surfer in the middle of a pack of seals probably looks like a sick or injured seal...easy pickings I reckon. I might be wrong but I don't think I'd be paddling out there to test the shark psychology.

although, with the more seals the less chance of getting eaten if you see it another way becuase you are a 1 in 459824735 (whatever number of seals are there) chance of getting eaten. But yes i wouldnt go

Last year I've been to coolangatta. Crowd factor is about the same as cape cross but I think the cape locals are friendlier ;D
