Turbo 13B powered Porsche 911. About twice the factory horsepower over the stock oil leaking 2.7 liter. As an added bonus it does not leak oil anymore!

  • Nice to see someone has already done it. I'm looking at buying a 2.7 and dropping in a 13B as well. Although, what was the total cost of the build?

  • @carbonfibreguy

I really do not remember the cost. A lot depends on cost of engine. The engine in the vids was only $3500 complete because it had 1500 miles on it. It was built and came with the Haltech.

I'm guessing a couple grand over the engine.

    Kennedy Engineered adapter for Transmission.

    Clutch was good.

Made my own motor mounts and cooling tubes.

    Junkyard radiator.

  • What tranny do you have, what motor to tranny adapter did you use? what are the performance numbers? Thank you.

  • @247yap

Stock 915 transmission. Kennedy Engineered Products adapter. It dynoed at 333 Rear wheel horse.

  • Not a Porsche anymore - it's a Mazda wrapped in candy.

  • So if you put a Porsche 924 motor in the RX7 in your garage it would become a Porsche?

  • Twice the power and no valves to adjust ! Excellent.

  • Cool!!!!! Fuck this is awesome!!!!!! Who ever made this you rule.

  • @YouTUser2008 yup...for the most part, the 2.7's are garbage. You can go through them if you'd like and spend thousands of dollars in parts and labor, or you can swap something else in. I've always liked the 3.2 and g50 tranny combo for such a job, but this is damn cool and probably a bit cheaper, not to mention the power made is greater.

  • @YouTUser2008

Nope, especially not when it's my grandmother's RX-7 - 40,000km, garaged since new.
