This is one of the most beautiful love story, made me always cry whenever i read it. Thanks for this lovely creation and share. Hugs, Gisl

I think the story is about a parent, at first there child is happy just to be with them, then as they grow they no longer spend time with there parents and just want money, then they see them even less wanting there own house, then they leave and the parents are sad, but one day, when the kids have grown older as there parents they realize what really matters, they just want to be with the ones they love. =D

the message i got out of it is that this story was really about a wierd super hero who can be invisible and he lives in a pile of branches, makes a raft, sails away and becomes wounded in a epic fight at sea against a super villain, and returns home, victorious but mortal...and spends his last moments of his life with the tree....finally becoming visible as he dies with a old friend...

I think it teaches children the differences between "wants" and "needs". He grew up wanting and taking from the tree, but in the end, all he needed was being with the tree itself (as a seat). That's the message I get out of it.
